Blue Mountain Mist Inn – Sevierville, TN

We snuck out for a 5-week road trip in May. The priority was to visit my grandmother in Phoenix who seemed to be failing quickly (Little did we know how quickly. She died two weeks after I saw her-so sad I am.). On our way home, we decided to stay at a bed & breakfast near Pigeon Forge, TN as I have always wanted to see the Smoky Mountains.

I was pretty darn sick of hotels after only a week or so into our vacation, and had been searching out B&B’s as much as possible on the road. In my Smoky Mountain B&B hunting, I discovered Blue Mountain Mist Inn Sevierville, TN. It looked so adorable, I couldn’t pass it up. And boy was I smart to follow my intuition!

This wonderful, Victorian style farmhouse and its owners encompassed everything you would hope to get when staying at a bed & breakfast in the Smoky Mountains. i.e. Southern Hospitality! Warm welcomes. Wrap around porch to enjoy morning coffee on. Attractive and comfortable rooms. 60 acres of rolling hills with flower, vegetable and herb gardens (The reason I write this blog on ET!). They also had the cutest miniature fairy garden! (picture below)

Oh, and the breakfast…What can I say? We had homemade biscuits and gravy (The gravy had meat in it so I did not partake but I sure did eat a couple of those biscuits!), scrambled eggs, grits, fruit salad with a wonderful, cream compote, and homemade jam to put on said biscuit. Oh, fresh squeezed OJ too!!

Seriously! Breakfast is my favorite meal anyway. I think I died and went to heaven. The owner came out and introduced himself, welcomed all of us, said grace, and introduced the couple who were getting married on the property that afternoon (They were at breakfast with us). We were all sitting farmhouse style so were at a table with another couple who were as delightful as could be. In fact, our conversation ran way past breakfast. So fun! I am already planning my next trip in the Fall.

In case you have ever wanted to stay at a bed & breakfast near Pigeon Forge TN, you gotta, gotta stay at Blue Mountain Mist Bed & Breakfast. You will not regret it! Pigeon Forge is approx. 30 minutes from Gatlinburg so nice and close if that is your true destination.  I have included several pics of the Blue Mountain Mist below to entice you. Website is here.
