It comes with (and I quote) “plastic mason-style jar, decorative lid, potting mix, organic chia and wheat grass seeds, garden figurines, decorative sand, river stones and a plant mister to keep your terrarium watered.”

There are some days I wish I was 8 again because I would have died and gone to heaven over this incredibly fun explorer kit. It comes with binoculars, flashlight, compass, large magnifying glass and emergency whistle. Think of the fun exploration your kids can do outside with this fun backpack kit!
According to Amazon reviewers, this kit is better for kids ages 5 and up due to the smaller pieces.

This kid size gardening set is totally complete! It comes with a sturdy bag with pockets; shovel, rake, trowel, small child’s size gloves, 4 non sharp/splinter free garden stakes, and a cute watering can bucket. Additionally, you get a fun children’s book on How To Grow A Garden.
I humbly recommend that with this gift you throw in some seeds of your kid’s fav fruits and/or vegetables as well as maybe a few starts so he has something to work with right away. For example, Rainbow Chard is very pretty and fun to watch grow. OR, how about some flowers that you know attract butterflies or bees???

This adorable Radio Flyer kid’s wheelbarrow is super sturdy with its metal construction. The round tray edge to keep little fingers from being scratched. The wheels are also super sturdy. Rated 4.4 out of 5.
Recommended for ages 3 and up.
Bubble Mower
This push mower is pretty darn cute. It blows bubbles, makes mowing sounds and moves the “motor” as your child pushes it along your lawn or driveway. While you are out mowing your lawn, your child will be mowing alongside you while also getting some exercise.

Full Size (for Kids) Garden Tool Set
This full size garden tool set comes with two types of rakes, a hoe and a shovel. Very colorful but sturdy with a real metal head that is stronger and thicker for standing up to any kid’s garden play. The handles are wooden.
The tools are 27.5 inches long and great for kids age 7 and up. They do give a warning that adult supervision is recommended. I would imagine this is due to the sharp edges on the shovel and hoe.
Order some of their favorite vegetable and flower seeds and let them create! I wish I had discovered gardening while my kids were young. They could have learned SO much about the circle of life AND wonders of Mother Nature! <sigh>

Flower Garden Building Playset
For as long as this blog post has been published, this gift has been hands down, one of the most popular – and I can totally understand why. It is SO colorful and fun.
The playset has 130 colored pieces including 8 bases, 52 stem and leaf pieces, 34 stamens and 34 brightly colored flower pieces. The flower species are lilies, daisies, morning glory, plum blossom, orchid, hibiscus and murraya paniculata. Your child can mix and match any way he or she wants to create the floral arrangements. She will be occupied for hours with this playset!
Some of the developmental skills this toy addresses are: Color and Shape Recognition, Fine Motor Skills, Thinking and Problem Solving Ability and Design Ability.

This incredibly cool STEM friendly greenhouse science kit will teach your kids about plants and seeds by allowing them to conduct experiments in a “specially designed botanical laboratory”. She will even construct an automatic watering system to keep the plants from getting too thirsty.
They will be growing beans, watercress, and Zinnia flowers, learning how each plant has different needs.
BONUS: It comes with a 48-page, full-color illustrated guidebook that teaches botany fundamentals and the step-by-step instructions for the hands-on experiments.
Small warning. Although this kit did have 4.2 out of 5 stars, I did see some complaints about the seedlings not lasting very long and one of the reviewers did not get his 48 page instructions (which sounds pretty vital to the whole kit – I did see only the one complaint though).
